Specialized Dental Care

In addition to general dental care, Haye Dental Group professionals offer specialized dental services including:

Periodontics
Periodontics is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases that affect the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. By adhering to Proper Continuing Care, our hope is that you will avoid gum disease, which is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and bone supporting the teeth.  The earliest stage of gum disease is called gingivitis. There is usually little or no discomfort, but signs are red, swollen gums that bleed easily. This stage is reversible with good oral hygiene habits and regular dental cleanings. However, untreated gingivitis can lead to Periodontal Disease.

Signs of Periodontal Disease

  • The disease process begins when bacterial plaque is not removed by proper brushing and flossing
  • The gums become irritated and inflamed
  • The irritated gum tissue starts to separate from the teeth and form “pockets”
  • Bacteria move into these pockets where the gums are irritated further
  • As the disease progresses, the pockets deepen and more gum tissue and bone are destroyed
  • If left untreated, this process can ultimately result in tooth loss.

Endodontics
Endodontics is dentistry that deals with diseases of the tooth root, dental pulp, and surrounding tissue. We provide evaluation and treatment for teeth in which the nerve of the tooth is inflamed or infected.  All of our dentists perform root canal surgery right in our office.

Prosthodontics
This branch of dentistry deals with the replacement of missing teeth and related mouth or jaw structures by bridges, dentures, or other artificial devices. Bridges, partials and dentures can be made to replace missing teeth or to strengthen worn down teeth.

  • Full Dentures – Replaces all natural missing teeth in a single arch/jaw.
  • Partial Dentures – Replaces numerous missing teeth on both sides of a single arch/jaw.

Loose Dentures or Partials

  • Imtec mini implants – A newer advancement in dentistry designed to provide denture stability for people who have no (or very few) teeth remaining.  These implants are small, single piece implants. The mini implant snaps into a retaining socket on the inside of a denture, resulting in a very stable denture which does not move around, pop out, or require any type of adhesive to keep it in place. The denture still rests on the gum tissue, but the mini implants keep it from slipping or clicking.

Oral Surgery
The extraction of wisdom teeth and teeth that are unable to be restored can be taken care of in our office.  We are experienced in the latest techniques to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
